Salman Khan Hit and Run Case: No Jail for Salman Khan

Good news for Salman Khan Family, fans and Bollywood fraternity, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has got relief in 2002 hit-and-run case.

After 2 days of suspense whether Salman Khan will be given jail or bail, Bombay High Court announced its judgment of Salman Khan’s bail. The Bombay High Court has suspended Salman Khan’s sentence.

The next hearing of Salman’s 2002 hit-and-run case will be in July, though the court has ordered him to surrender his passport and take court permission in case of any foreign visits.

As the news reached the fans and Salman’s Bollywood family, huge crowd was seen outside Salman Khan’s residence, creating traffic problems for local police.


On Wednesday, in a final verdict by session court judge DW Deshpande found Salman Khan guilty in 2002 hit-and-run case and sentenced a five-year imprisonment.

With eight charges against Khan, including culpable homicide and a non-bailable offence, the court deemed him guilty.

However on Friday, Bombay High Court Judge Abhay Thipsay extended Salman Khan bail.

Bombay High Court, judge Abhay Thipsay questioned the court “why should his rights suffer when the appeal is still being heard?”

Another interesting statement made by jude, that the case should be treated only as of a rash driving case.

According to latest news reports, it’s also been heard that there will a fresh appeal in hit-and-run case.

The relief for Salman Khan in 2002 hit-and-run case has brought smiles to many faces, especially on producers who have invested a lot of money in shooting.

Recently, Salman Khan finished shooting for his upcoming movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan. We still have to wait and watch, what will be the verdict of Bombay high court in July month.
