Rajkumar Kohli, is an Indian movies director. He is a popular face in Bollywood mainly famous for producing movies. Rajkumar’s Kohli name suddenly came into limelight when his son Armaan Kohli joined the Bigg Boss 7 house.

Producer Rajkumar Kohli produced several popular Bollywood films like ‘Jaani Dushman’, ‘Nagin’, ‘Naukar Biwi Ka’ and ‘Raaj Tilak’.

Biography & Career

Rajkumar Kohli, was born on September 14, 1930 in Lahore, British India. Rajkumar started his career by producing a movie titled Shart in 1969. The movie was directed by Kewal Misra.

Rajkumar’s first produced movie featured Sanjay Khan and Mumtaz in the lead roles. He had also tried his luck in the direction. His first directorial was Kahani Hum Sab Ki (1973).

His movies generally featured actor’s actress like Dharmendra, Sunil Dutt, Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy and Rekha.

In 1990, Rajkumar Kohli launched his son Armaan Kohli in a multistarer film titled ‘Virodhi’ 1992. However, his son Armaan was not able to impress the audience and movie was a big flop.

In year 1993, Kohli tried to launch his son one more time with the movie title ‘Aulad Ke Dushman’ but again his son was not able to charm the audience. Followed by, another flop movie in 1997 titled Qahar.

Rajkumar Kohli in his last attempt tried one more time to re launch his son with his 1970’s classic movie ‘Nagin’ and Jaani Dushman remake. He titled the new movie ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’. However the remake was a big disaster at the box office. He has tried to copy scenes from his old movies as well as from Hollywood movies but didn’t able to success with Armaan Kohli’s poor performance.

Since 2002, he has not directed any movie.  Rajkumar Kohli is married to Nishi Kohli, Punjabi Actress.
